Hello world!

13 Jun

I have been driven by jealousy of my sisters wonderful blog to write one of my own. In this way I can keep track of my never-ending list of unfinished projects, unrealised ideas and other fabulous things.

I guess I might entertain you all (all 1 of you) with whatever I might be thinking about, or whatever I’m reading (if you’re lucky I’ll skip over the really trashy romances), and then whatever the kiddies are doing. And I have to admit it, there are bound to be more than a few rants slipping in. Anyone who knows me knows that this is inevitable.

But really, I guess that I hope that this blog can be part of the vehicle by which I can catalogue the change I’m trying to make in my life, from being a consumer of others thoughts, products and art to being a producer of my own art, to leaving the mindless collecting of things, and to living a life that is more thought out, less dictated to by others. Less procrastination!

Well, here goes, anyway.

Oh! you are not a slacker! Now you are putting yourself down on the internet! Why don’t you consider changing it to something more positive and encouraging like creative mom, or I don’t know, but don’t call yourself a slacker!

      Hi Mom,
well, it is supposed to be more tongue-in-cheek than that! It is a play on words from the Artful Dodger, only since I am trying to do more than sit around reading books and be an office-slavey, I thought it fit. It will be ok, don’t you worry, don’t worry, shh shhh, there there.

      Love,

    Hullo there,

Just pointing out your blog, is lovely too. Now I would say, your sister, would most likely be jealous of your lovely blog, now. I am sure she must love the pink and black colour scheme. That colours together are perky and feminine. I am sure that must be how you are, I imagine you to be perky and feminine indeed. Also, I enjoy crochet.
Will you be having crochet-related projects? Well I guess it is late, I must be going but I will return.

      Hi John,
wow this blog thing does work fast, doesn’t it? I have comments to my very first post! How exciting! And only two of them were my mother. In answer to your question, yes, I imagine crocheting will figure amongst my subjects as I am trying to teach myself that very craft. I’m not fast at it though, so don’t hold your breath!
      Cheers,
      The Slacker

Wow! Ok, how much did you pay John Smith to post a comment and how can I get someone I’m not related to to post on my blog, huh?? Oh, and this isn’t the domesticatedIcan’tdance. And you have changed the colour of your background…

Hey, is it easy to upload pictures on this one?

    • theslackone June 22, 2011 at 9:20 am #

Now I know that I didn’t publish it on Sunday, but it is about Sunday. Ok?

And who are you kidding?! I so did dance you into the ground! And there’s the mobile-video to prove it! So there Little Miss Beyonce!

    • theslackone June 22, 2011 at 9:21 am #

      Just lucky I guess.

And yes, it was much easier to upload photos this time. Still no go on the scans though – bummer.

And no, it’s not easier because I changed the colour of the blog you silly! It’s just I worked out what the hell I was doing. That always helps.

I didn’t leave that comment above. Someone hacked me.

God it’s hard being Beyonce in a family made up or Richard Simmons’s…

    • theslackone June 24, 2011 at 11:33 am #

I’m guessing I’m one of the Richard Simmons’s. I’m sure I’d be more insulted if I knew who the hell Richard Simmons is though.
